PRESS: Owners of Sollers, Globaltrans create logistics company

MOSCOW, Dec 24 (PRIME) -- Core owner of Russian carmaker Sollers Vadim Shvetsov and owners of railroad operator Globaltrans, Konstantin Nikolayev, Nikita Mishin, and Sergei Maltsev, have created a transport company called Novaya Logisticheskaya (New Logistics), Kommersant business daily reported on Monday quoting sources.

The company will focus on railroad transport and cargo transportation, it will provide 4PL logistics services and plan and conduct transportation in different types of transport for a wide range of clients. Its capital will amount to 1.8 billion rubles, and Sollers First Deputy CEO Nikolai Sobolev will become the company’s CEO, Kommersant reported.

The company may buy tangible assets, but will focus on development of its own IT platforms. Other sources told the business daily that New Logistics planned to buy or lease 700 fitting platforms for container transportation.

A Globaltrans representative confirmed that Nikolayev, Mishin, and Maltsev are among the founders of New Logistics, while Sollers declined comment.
